Halden Rook opens in New York

The firm opens its first office outside London, led for its first two years by Anthony Rook.

Halden Rook today opens an office in New York, at 11 Ostrander Place, its first outside London. Anthony Rook, co-founder of the firm, will lead it for its first two years, with a team of four.

The office will advise the firm’s existing clients on their North American matters and build a practice for clients in the United States and Canada, beginning with crisis response and regulatory work.

“About a third of our matters already involve North America,” said Margaret Halden, senior partner. “Our clients would like the partner who answers the telephone at three in the morning to be in the same time zone as the problem.”
