Accessibility statement
We want everyone who visits this website to be able to read and use it. This statement explains how accessible it is and how we test it.
How accessible this website is
The website is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Every page can be used with a keyboard, has a visible focus indicator, works without JavaScript, can be read at 400 per cent zoom without scrolling sideways, and respects a request for reduced motion. Text and its background meet the contrast ratios the guidelines require. Charts have a text description.
How we test it
Every page is tested with an automated accessibility checker at desktop and phone widths whenever the website changes, and checked by hand with a keyboard and a screen reader when a new kind of page is added.
Known limitations
Some documents published as PDFs, including our terms of business and the client extranet user guide, were not prepared to the same standard and may be difficult to read with assistive technology. We will provide an accessible version of any of them on request. The client extranet requires JavaScript.
