Anthony Rook
Co-founder of the firm. Retired as a partner in 2021 and has been a consultant since, advising a small number of clients of long standing.
Anthony Rook founded Halden Rook with Margaret Halden in 2003 and was a partner until March 2021, when he retired and became a consultant to the firm. He advises a small number of clients of long standing and is available to the partners on matters that need a long memory.
He was called to the Bar in 1975 and practised for six years before joining the government press service, where he spent twenty-two years, the last seven as director of communications of a large department. He opened the firm’s New York office in 2011 and ran it for its first two years.
He is the author of the firm’s guidance on message houses, written in 2004 and revised by him, most recently, in 2020. He no longer sits on any of the firm’s committees and says that he does not miss them.
